The Office of Admissions is seeking a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and results-oriented professional for the position of the Coordinator of Greater MN and CFANS Recruitment. Our office is charged with attracting, recruiting, admitting, and enrolling a talented and diverse undergraduate student body. This position will represent the Office of Admissions in working with prospective students, alumni, and key stakeholders throughout Greater MN.

Salary Range: $40,000 - $43,000
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
â— Manage recruitment of prospective students in specified Greater MN territories including the planning and executing of recruitment efforts on and off campus
â— Partner with Research and Outreach Centers throughout the state to increase the visibility of the University of Minnesota as well as the College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS) in those local communities
â— Serve as a presenter at high school programs, counselor meetings and recruitment events throughout Greater MN
â— Provide admissions counseling and extra-mile customer service to prospective students.
â— Serve as a contact for prospective greater MN students and those interested in the College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences (CFANS)
â— Assist in the planning, facilitating and execution of campus visits for students interested in CFANS programs, including presentations and events
â— Coordinate with CFANS departmental recruiters who are working in Greater MN
â— Participate and assist with the execution of CFANS’ overall recruitment goals & strategy, in conjunction with CFANS Admissions Counselor and the CFANS/Admissions Communications Associate utilizing written, telephone, presentations, and in-person communication to prospective students, applicants, and admitted students
â— Liaise with Agricultural Education teachers throughout Greater MN, in order to connect with their students
â— Liaise with community partners serving Greater MN populations, including FFA, 4H, etc.
â— Work closely with CFANS Alumni & Constituent Relations in order to provide opportunities for engagement between CFANS alumni and prospective students in Greater MN
â— Evaluate academic and other credentials for admission decisions and counseling purposes.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
â— Bachelor's degree
â— At least two years of relevant work experience.
â— Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
â— Strong oral and written communication skills, public speaking experience, and excellent customer service skills.
â— Demonstrated commitment to and competence working with individuals of diverse racial, ethnic, religious, and cultural backgrounds towards inclusive educational environments.
â— Must have a valid driver's license; must be able to travel locally and regionally for extended periods and to work evenings/weekends and some holidays as needed.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
â— Prior experience in college admissions and recruitment or a closely related unit such as campus tours, orientation, or other direct work with student outreach and enrollment.
â— Event planning or project management experience preferred.
â— Preference given to candidates with University of Minnesota or CFANS experience defined broadly such as former student, graduate, employee, or community member of any campus.
â— Preference given to candidates with community based organization experience
â— Preference given to candidates with admissions experience.
â— Background in agriculture and/or a connection to rural and/or greater MN life experiences
