Duke Primary Care Duke Primary Care is a broad network of community-based clinics that offer family medicine, internal medicine, pediatric, and urgent care services. With 400 providers in nearly 50 locations, Duke Primary Care is the largest primary care network in the greater Triangle. Our network saw more than 750,000 patient encounters in fiscal year 2021.
Our Duke Primary Care clinics provide personalized care for adults and children, from sick visits to preventive care, health screenings to immunizations, and annual exams to chronic disease management. Select primary care clinics also provide behavioral health, diabetes education, pharmacy, and other population health services. Duke Primary Care clinics are accredited and designated a Primary Care Medical Home by The Joint Commission.
Our Duke Urgent Care centers offer evaluation and treatment for minor illnesses and injuries 12 hours a day, seven days a week when a patient’s primary care provider is not available. Services also include certain physical exams and vaccinations. A pediatric specialist is available at select locations. Patients can walk in to one of our nine urgent care centers located throughout the greater Triangle or can schedule a virtual visit to receive care from the comfort of home.
Radiologic Technologist- Duke Urgent Care
Occupational Summary
Perform a variety of technical tasks involved in opera tingradiographic equipment and making radiographs of designated portions ofthe body. Perform other functions as needed to support a Duke University Health System off-site practice.
Work Performed
Perform a variety of technical tasks involved in operating x-ray equipment to make radiographs of designated body positions. Adjust equipment for proper radiographic exposure techniques in accordance with radiation safety guidelines. Perform supportive duties including but not limited to: obtaining vital signs, drawing blood, extracting sutures, EKGs, cast removal, cleaning wounds, and applying medications and dressings.Position patients using positioning assistance devices and protective equipment as necessary. Monitor accessory equipment and assist the physician with fluoroscopic and special procedures. Report changes in patient's condition to the medical staff. Process Images with correct patient identification information. Calibrate radiographic equipment; perform routine equipment maintenance and perform annual lead apron survey and inspection.Provide orientation and training to new personnel. Annually review and sign Radiation Safety program policy. Perform other related duties incidental to the work herein.

Education
Completion of an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology
Experience
Level I must obtain ARRT certification within one year of employment. Level II Minimum of two years' experience as a diagnostic radiology technologist. Level III A minimum of 4 years' experience within specialty modality in which they are seeking promotion
