The PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency at UW Medicine is an ASHP-accredited post-graduate program, which provides 12 months of training. The program is designed to develop and refine critical thinking skills necessary to implement safe and efficacious therapeutic interventions and allow residents to provide patient centered care in primary care settings.

The primary practice site for the PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Program is the Harborview Medical Center. The program concentrates on developing an independent and collaborative ambulatory pharmacist who can meet the dynamic challenges encountered in primary care. The resident is an instructor for the University of Washington School of Pharmacy PY2 skills course for the academic year. This residency prepares the candidate to take a leadership role as an ambulatory clinical pharmacist and/or clinical faculty.

• Completion of PharmD Degree from an ACPE-accredited College or School of Pharmacy
• Completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency or equivalent experience
• Must be eligible for licensure in the State of Washington
