Position Overview
The Ohio State University College of Pharmacy seeks a semester lecturer (associated track) to develop and deliver elective coursework related to pharmaceutical industry remotely or in-person within the PharmD program during spring semester 2025. The successful candidate will have a strong commitment to the teaching mission of The Ohio State University and possess relevant work experience related to pharmaceutical industry and prior experience with developing, teaching, and managing elective coursework related to this area within a PharmD program.
Performance Objectives
Develops and/or teaches courses in PharmD curriculum classes as assigned.
Responsible for the creation of lecture materials, facilitation of in-class learning activities, assessment (i.e., quizzes, exams, assignments, and homework if applicable), offering of weekly office hours, oversight of teaching assistant(s) (if assigned), submission of grades, and resolution of any ongoing student or course issues.
Education and Experience Requirements
Required:Doctoral degree or equivalent; prior experience working in a field related to pharmaceutical industry; prior experience with development and teaching of remote or hybrid coursework at the PharmD level focused on the pharmaceutical industry.
Desired: Experience with independently managing a course using the Canvas learning management system.
