The CPS @ Summa Health System PGY1 is a community-based residency program with a focus in specialty pharmacy. This specialty pharmacy residency program offers unique opportunities for gaining clinical experience and leadership skills. With CPS, you have a partner who can help jumpstart your career in health-system specialty pharmacy.
Summa Health is an integrated delivery network in Akron, OH. Summa Health launched its ACHC and URAC-accredited specialty pharmacy service in partnership with CPS in 2019. Today, locally embedded pharmacists and pharmacy liaisons provide high-touch support to patients across 47 clinics.

All applications must be received by January 6, 2025 and will be screened according to the following criteria:
Graduation from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) accredited college of pharmacy or have a Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) certificate from the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP).
Enrollment in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
Completed pharmacy practice residency application.
Eligibility for licensure in the State of Ohio.
Curriculum vitae contains no deficits or cause for concern in the areas of written communication, pharmacy experience, or academics.
Three recommendation letters and/or forms contain no deficits or cause for concern in the areas of personal relations/maturity/leadership, initiative/motivation, academics, pharmacy experience, or written/verbal communication.
