Overview: Indiana University Health is seeking highly motivated and skilled pharmacists for our PGY2 Pharmacy Residency Programs. Our comprehensive training builds upon the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and PGY1 pharmacy residency to develop pharmacist practitioners with knowledge, skills, and abilities as defined in the educational competency areas, goals, and objectives for advanced practice areas.
The IU Health academic health center has an inpatient base of more than 1,300 patients which provides residents with the opportunity to practice in diverse adult and pediatric environments, in both academic and community settings. From community-based practices to critical care in a Level One Trauma Center, we offer a breadth of experiences to prepare you for a future career in your desired specialty.
Resident Responsibilities:
Provide direct patient care as an effective member of an interdisciplinary team
Conduct and present a major research project
Participate in the education of PGY-1 residents, pharmacy students, and other healthcare providers
Serve on pharmacy or hospital committees
Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications:
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an ACPE-accredited institution
Successful completion of a PGY-1 Pharmacy Residency
Eligible for pharmacist licensure in Indiana
Strong communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
Commitment to clinical excellence and professional growth
