MHMMCP offers a traditional PGY1 Pharmacy Residency and a Community-Based PGY1 Residency. Our institution offers PGY2 Residencies in Ambulatory Care, Critical Care, Infectious Diseases, and Oncology.
The PGY1 and PGY2 Pharmacy Residency programs at MHMMCP provide residents with strong foundational skills required to become high-performing clinicians. MaineHealth Maine Medical Center is a multi-campus medical center with locations in Portland, Biddeford and Sanford. With a total of 929 licensed beds across all locations, residents are exposed to a diverse patient demographic with a broad range of pathology. Our goal is to develop competent and compassionate clinicians who are prepared for direct patient care responsibilities, educating, conducting research, and continued post-graduate education.
MHMMCP is committed to providing a learning environment where residents can thrive. Our small residency class sizes and dedicated faculty cultivate a welcoming community inclusive of everyone. The camaraderie between residents, faculty, and non-pharmacist providers is unique. Our residents are truly integrated into collaborative interdisciplinary teams.
Our programs are located in the wonderful community of Portland, Maine. Residents have the opportunity to work in a fun, vibrant city. Portland is urban enough to provide a variety of experiences in any season, yet without the hassle of a larger city.
