Job Description
This Physician works independently in the Acute and Primary Care clinics at Colorado State University Health Network’s campus clinic, providing advanced primary healthcare that consists of assessment, evaluation, diagnosis and treatment (including medication management) for acute, chronic, and preventive medical, reproductive and/or psychiatric health issues.
The Physician establishes collaborative relationships with other practitioners, including medical, behavioral health, counseling, dental, optometry, psychiatric, physical therapy and pharmacy providers in a team approach to enhance healthcare delivery for students. The position may provide consultation to other medical and counseling providers.
The Physician works 32-40 hours per week, 12-months per year, between the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday – Friday, and is benefits eligible. The Physician reports directly to the Associate Medical Director.
Work/Life Balance. This position provides services between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday-Friday, with NO evenings, on-call or weekends, providing attractive work schedules and a strong work/life benefits for staff.
Relocation Assistance Available. Assistance with reasonable relocation and moving expenses up to $5,000, in accordance with applicable policy.
Malpractice Insurance. As a State of Colorado employee, staff are covered for liability under the Colorado Governmental Immunity Act (CGIA).
Federal Narcotics License (DEA registration). Fee is waived for a State of Colorado employee.
CME. A fiscal year allocation of $1,500 based on full-time equivalency and 5 days of paid leave for CME.
Collaborative Multidisciplinary Team. We offer a collaborative multidisciplinary team environment. Staff at the CSU Health Network are supported by a full range of services for students, including laboratory, pharmacy, physical therapy, psychiatry, medical services, dental, optometry, and nutrition services on site, behavioral health and integrated care with counseling staff enhances the treatment of students with behavioral health concerns.

Required Job Qualifications:
Education/Licensure/Certification
Current Colorado licensure as MD or DO, or ability to obtain Colorado license within 30 days of hire.
Current Colorado physician license in good standing, or ability to obtain by start date.
Board eligibility or board certification in a primary care specialty; if board eligible, board certification must be obtained within the first three years of hire.
Possession of a current DEA number for authorization of prescriptive privileges, or ability to obtain by start date.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS), or ability to obtain by state date.
Medical Services
The Medical Clinic at the CSU Health Network provides acute and chronic care to CSU students by appointments and on a walk-in basis for urgent concerns. Primary care physicians, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners care for students, with emphasis on preventive care, education, and continuity. The medical staff are supported by a full range of laboratory, pharmacy, physical therapy, psychiatry, optometry, and nutrition services on site, behavioral health and integrated care with counseling staff enhances the treatment of students with behavioral health concerns. Minor procedures are performed in the clinic. The Medical Clinic provides services between the hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm Monday-Friday, providing attractive work schedules for staff.
