PGY2 residencies provide residents with opportunities to function independently as practitioners by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporating both into the provision of patient care or other advanced practice settings.
The Vivent Health HIV Medical Home delivers the best health outcomes for patients by providing comprehensive care - from nutrition to mental health. At the center of all we do are our nationally-renowned efforts to provide the best patient-centered model of care possible. We are proud to offer a PGY2 ambulatory care residency, highlighting how this comprehensive, patient-centered model improves the lives of our patients and the communities we serve.
PGY2 ambulatory care residents at Vivent Health have clinical experiences in the integrated medical home in the areas of: cardiology, endocrinology, infectious disease, and men's, women's and transgender health. Additional areas of clinical experience include gastroenterology, geriatrics, psychiatry, pulmonology and specialty pharmacy. Vivent Health residents participate in longitudinal experiences in the areas of administration, teaching and preceptorship, quality and research.
Residents who successfully complete our PGY2 pharmacy residency are prepared for advanced patient care, academic, or other specialized positions, along with board certification, if desired.
