The Detroit Medical Center (DMC) is committed to providing the highest quality postgraduate training in pharmacy practice and offers two PGY2 Pharmacy Residency programs based at Harper Hutzel Hospital (HHH): Ambulatory Care (1 position) and Pharmacotherapy (1 position). The ASHP-accredited PGY2 Pharmacy Residency Programs provide the residents with opportunities to function independently as practitioners by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experiences and knowledge and incorporating both in the provision of patient care that improves medication therapy. Residents who successfully complete one of the two accredited PGY2 pharmacy residency programs at HHH should possess competencies for a career as a clinical pharmacy specialist or clinical faculty at an academic institution.
