What Pharmacy Operations Management contributes to Cardinal Health Pharmacy Operations is responsible for the safe, efficient and effective coordination of Cardinal Health's pharmacy operations that service acute care hospitals, hospital retail customers, ambulatory care and alternate site facilities, oncology and cardiology practices as well as retail customers.
Pharmacy Operations Management is responsible for strategic oversight and leadership direction within the Pharmacy Operations function.
Job Summary
Located at the IU Health Integrated Service Center in Plainfield, IN, this position serves as a liaison between Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions and IU Health System to identify, implement and track initiatives across hospitals.
Responsibilities
Serve as a liaison between Cardinal Health Innovative Delivery Solutions and IU Health System.
Responsible for identifying, implementing and tracking initiatives across hospitals ranging in size from critical access to large academic health centers.
Initiatives include pharmacy performance assessments, staffing and operations assessments, drug cost control services, drug cost opportunity analytics implementation, maintenance, and analytics including levels I (purchasing), II (utilization) and III (antimicrobial stewardship), 797/800 gap analysis, buyer training, inventory optimization, regulatory reviews, and eRecovery.
Seen by the client as a trusted resource with exposure to the C-Suite including working closely with the system CMO office on various projects.
Build and enhance professional relationships with pharmacy staff and management.
Communicate effectively with pharmacy staff and pharmacy management.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in pharmacy or PharmD.
Must be a "good standing" licensed pharmacist and/or eligible for licensure in the state of Indiana.
Prior inpatient/hospital experience preferred.
Experience with client management preferred.
Experience executing on deliverables preferred.
Contract experience for a large health system preferred.
Ability to hear, write, and speak clearly in order to communicate with customers and health care professionals.
Excellent planning, organizing and leadership skills.
Strong customer service skills.
