The PGY1 Community-Based residency program at SwedishAmerican allows the resident to experience a wide range of practice areas including Specialty Pharmacy, Outpatient Pharmacy, Ambulatory Care, Pharmacy Management, Administration, Pharmacy Precepting, Community Outreach and Informatics. Our various outpatient clinics focus on Diabetes Management, Medication Management, Oncology, Hypertension and Anticoagulation.  Specialty areas include, but are not limited to, Rheumatoid Arthritis, Crohn's Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, HIV, Hepatitis, Hyperlipidemia, Growth Hormone, Asthma, Psoriasis, Hemophilia and Psoriatic Arthritis.  UW Health SwedishAmerican Hospital is a 357-bed, full-service, non-profit hospital serving the greater Rockford region, northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin
