About the Program The Centerpoint Medical Center PGY1 pharmacy residency program builds on Doctor of Pharmacy education and outcomes to contribute to the development of advanced clinical pharmacists responsible for medication-related care of patients with a wide range of conditions.  After completing our program, graduates will be ready to enter a competitive job market as well as be eligible for board certification and postgraduate year two (PGY2) pharmacy residency training. Centerpoint Medical Center is a 285-bed acute care hospital located in Independence, MO. Centerpoint provides a wide range of medical services to the community.  Our Joint Commission accredited programs include Total Joint Program, Stroke and Level II Chest Pain Certification.
