Baptist Health South Florida PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Residency
The PGY-2 Infectious Diseases Residency Program at Baptist Health South Florida is a 12-month pharmacy specialty-training program. It is designed to establish a foundation of infectious diseases knowledge and to develop the skills necessary to deliver high-level clinical care. The goal of the program is to develop independent pharmacy practitioners to become integral members of the infectious diseases team. This specialty residency program builds upon the general competencies achieved during a PGY-1 residency, expanding the ability of residents to provide care for complex infectious diseases in a variety of settings. The training is coordinated to allow residents to master each of the disease states established within the ASHP Practice Standards for PGY-2 residency in infectious
