The UIC College of Pharmacy, in collaboration with the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System, are proud of the over 50 year history of training post-graduate pharmacists in clinical service and research through our PGY1 and PGY2 residencies as well as our clinical research fellowships. Residencies offered at UIC include a traditional pharmacy PGY1, PGY1 international, PGY1 community-based, combined PGY1/PGY2 in health-system pharmacy administration and leadership, and PGY2s in ambulatory care, cardiology, critical care, emergency medicine, HIV care, infectious diseases, oncology, pediatrics, pharmacogenomics, solid organ transplant, and specialty pharmacy administration and leadership. Research fellowships in academia/family medicine, infectious diseases, and pharmacovigilance and patient safety are also offered.
For all programs, a PharmD degree and IL pharmacist license are required. For PGY2 programs, successful completion of an accredited PGY1 program is also required.
