What you will be doing:
The Clinical Data Lead – Pharmacy is independently responsible for engaging in strategic data/analytic projects. Analyzes sophisticated problems and issues using data from internal and external sources. Considered highly skilled and proficient in subject area. Conducts sophisticated work important to Cedars-Sinai. Provide consultation to users and lead cross-functional teams to address data and analytic issues.
Leads vertical customers and consensus analytics/reporting activities with end users, operational leaders, physicians, and designated staff for the purpose of meeting end-user data/report requests.
High degree of knowledge of core reporting support activities and practices.
Task and assignment focus is typically on larger projects, performing business requirements documentation for sophisticated reports, quality assurance/testing with the report developers, and end user support.
Provides deep domain expertise in the reporting tools/systems and ensures the delivery of the high value projects vital to the organization.
Mentor peers and display leadership as needed.
Ten (10)+ years as a data analyst and/or business analyst, including facilitation of performance improvement projects and/or quantitative analysis/reporting of quality and efficiency measurements.
Experience with reporting and analysis of hospital pharmacy data required.
Experience in health care delivery setting.
Project management experience.
Demonstrable experience in ability to perform all facets of the data/analytic delivery (business/clinical understanding, exploratory data analysis, data mining, data modeling, deployment, training).
Database experience with Oracle/Redshift.
Solid grasp with Python and Tableau experience.
Experience writing data mining (R, Python, SAS, etc.)
Experience in creating predictive and prescriptive analytics.
Demonstrated skills in visualization of complex cognitive subjects. (preferred)
Bachelor's degree required. (Computer Science, Mathematics, or Healthcare preferred).
Master's Degree highly desirable: Public Health, Hospital Administration, Healthcare Informatics, or Biostatistics with coursework or background in statistics. (preferred)
Residency training or fellowship in informatics or administration highly desirable. Board certification in informatics highly desirable.
