Summary of Duties:
The Assistant Director of Student Services oversees the CPPS advising team, advising functions, retention and support of the CPPS undergraduate and Doctor of Pharmacy students including but not limited to; on-time graduation, course registration, career exploration, mentoring program, student concerns, end of semester grading, progression statuses, accreditation related course series, and all Continuous Professional Development (CPD) and co-curricular tracking. The Assistant Director of Student Services will serve in a key leadership role within the college providing support to faculty, staff and students who may navigate unique situations that often times require complex and high level thinking. The Assistant Director of Student Services will direct and manage Academic and Student Success Advisors, establish partnerships with key individuals in the university, state and western region, ensuring compliance with the university, state and federal laws, policies and regulations.
This position may require occasional travel to local, regional, and national locations for student services training and support.

Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of full-time academic advising experience at a college or university or relevant professional experience. A Master's degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional academic advising experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis. Positions who will lead or supervise will require one or more years of full-time experience leading or supervising the work of others.
Experience providing academic and career advising, success coaching, and/or case management in a higher education setting. Demonstrated experience with computer software, including the ability to use office software, such as databases, spreadsheets, word processing, and Outlook. Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication. Demonstrated ability to remain professional, courteous, and interact effectively with diverse populations in a positive manner that engenders confidence and trust. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently. Ability and willingness to occasionally travel, work weekends, and work after regular business hours. Experience in program development. Demonstrated ability to prioritize job tasks effectively and multitasks to meet deadlines. Position requires an unrestricted driver's license.
Experience administrating academic advising, student affairs or student services teams. Experience working in Pharmacy education or related health care program. Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working and learning environment. Master's degree in higher education, academic advising, student services organizations, or a related field. Ability to resolve complex student situations with limited supervision units. Experience developing and implementing policies and procedures, including the implementation and integration of new technologies and software. Familiarity with Washington State University academic rules and regulations. Experience supervising and leading the work of others. Additional Information:
