This Safeway Pharmacy/University of Maryland Program is based in Lanham Maryland, close to Washington DC and Baltimore, both famous for their history, sports, food, and culture. Our Safeway Pharmacy leadership work closely with state, local, and national pharmacy organizations to advance pharmacy practice. Our pharmacists can prescribe a growing list of medications, immunizations, perform health screenings, and work as a member of the healthcare team to manage patient disease states. The resident is assigned a home-base community pharmacy site where approximately 40% of time is spent.
