The Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences in the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of California, Irvine, is recruiting for a full-time Specialist Series academic to support research projects in the laboratory of Dr. Lauren Albrecht. The Albrecht lab applies novel imaging approaches and chemical biology tools to understand novel principles of protein degradation, methylation, cellular metabolism, and tissue function. The overarching goals of the lab aim to generate transformative interventions across a spectrum of diseases such as cancer, neurodegeneration, and metabolic disease using metabolic- or pharmacologic-based approaches, or even through diet.
Applications will be considered until positions are filled. This position is available to start immediately. The final candidate will be appointed at the level that is commensurate with their education and experience. This appointment is for a period of one year with the possibility of renewal. This position is eligible for benefits.
