The duties of this position are performed in the controlled substance storage areas of the Pharmacy Service. The incumbent is a highly specialized technician who under the authority of the Chief, Pharmacy Service, is responsible for the first line management of controlled substances handled by the pharmacy. Mandated accountability and control of scheduled drugs and investigational drugs make this a particularly sensitive position that is considered critical by all levels of management.
