Position Summary
The mission of SDSU Student Health Services is to provide high quality, convenient, student focused medical care in a safe and welcoming environment, actively partnering with our patients to help them achieve and maintain healthy lives in support of their personal and academic success.
The Pharmacist Per Diem performs a limited range of general license pharmacist duties, including administering and interpreting COVID tests, as well as dispensing and administering COVID vaccines in support of COVID prevention and response in the SDSU community. The incumbent is responsible for documenting care delivery in the Electronic Health Record and documenting vaccines in immunization registry systems. The incumbent will ensure pharmacy programs and operations and the delivery of pharmacy services are in compliance with established professional standards and applicable federal and state regulations.

There are multiple positions available. This position is per diem with shifts available weekdays during standard business hours, Monday - Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm. These are hourly-intermittent, temporary positions anticipated to end on or before December 31, 2021 with the possibility of reappointment. This position is designated non-exempt under FLSA and is eligible for overtime compensation.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy from an Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) college of pharmacy program or other program recognized by the board as defined by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Equivalent to one year of experience as a licensed pharmacist working independently.
Licenses and/or Certifications Required
Possess and maintain a valid pharmacist license as defined and required by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
Preferred Qualifications
Ability to work well with others under times of stress and pressure.
Ability to make accurate observations and exercise correct judgment within the areas of assigned responsibility.
At least (6) months experience as a Registered Pharmacist.
Familiarity with the California Family Pact program.
Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel.
Compensation
CSU Classification Salary Range: $19.92 - $84.86 per hour. Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department's fiscal resources.
This salary range is inclusive of the CSU/CSUEU collective bargaining agreement (CBA) provision that per diem employees hired on an hourly/intermittent basis receive an additional 29% above the regular hourly base rate.
