Kaiser Permanente-Washington Permanente Medical Group is seeking a full-time 1.0 FTE Family Medicine Physician w/ OB and Family Medicine Residency Faculty to join our Capitol Hill Campus team in Seattle, Washington. The FTE will be split between clinical and Family Medicine Residency faculty responsibilities(0.4-0.5 teaching / 0.5-0.6 clinical) .
KP Washington Family Medicine Residency is a 6-6-6 community-based innovative urban family medicine residency program that has trained family physicians since 1969. We provide full-spectrum residency training in a longitudinal curriculum and immersion within one of the most advanced delivery systems in the country. We are seeking applicants for a faculty position who are passionate and experienced in improving diversity and equity in residency training and clinical care. This faculty/clinical role is employed by Washington Permanente Medical Group and will be eligible for shareholder status after completion of a three-year associate's program.
The successful applicant will become a core faculty member with responsibilities including precepting residents in clinic, advising and mentoring residents, curriculum development and oversight, and obstetrics care provision and teaching. The successful applicant will teach at both the Burien and Capitol Hill residency clinics and have a clinical practice in the Family Health Center at Capitol Hill .
Clinical responsibilities include outpatient family medicine as a 0.4-0.5 clinical FTE in the KPWA Family Health Center clinic and provide obstetrical care and teaching. Obstetrics is prenatal, intrapartum, and post-partum management of your own patients and teaching residents in these settings. There is also an option for inpatient medicine attending on the Family Medicine Residency service for the interested applicant.
The ideal candidate will have:
A minimum of 3 or more years clinical and teaching experience
Reproductive health experience
Additional language competency
Experience caring for LGBTQ populations, including transgender care
Mentoring/Pipeline experience, especially with URiM mentees
Antiracism teaching and activism/advocacy experience
Procedural competencies: vasectomy, ultrasound, colposcopies, reproductive medicine
Geriatrics, sports medicine and addiction medicine experience
Capitol Hill Campus is a multispecialty medical center. Lab, Radiology and Pharmacy on site. Office hours are 8am - 5pm Monday through Friday, with Urgent Care open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
