The PGY2 Infectious Diseases Pharmacy Residency is designed to develop expert knowledge and skills in the area of Infectious Diseases. This will be achieved through participation in multidisciplinary and independent patient care activities combined with teaching and research opportunities within the realm of infectious diseases.
Upon completion of this program, the resident will:
Promote and optimize patient care
Provide comprehensive medication management to patients with infectious diseases
Ensure continuity of care during infectious disease patient transitions between care settings
Manage antimicrobial stewardship activities
Advance practice and improve patient care
Manage formulary and medication-use processes
Conduct a quality infectious diseases pharmacy practice research project
Leadership and management
Teaching, education, and dissemination of infectious diseases knowledge
