The PGY2 Critical Care Pharmacy Residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital is a clinically focused program designed to transition residents from generalist practice to serving a specialized patient population in a variety of ICU settings. The structure of the program provides a strong foundation and is flexible to allow residents to accomplish their individual professional goals. Graduates of the program are well rounded critical care pharmacy practitioners who achieve the following goals:
Function both as independent practitioners and as members of interdisciplinary teams in providing evidence-based patient care for critically ill patient populations.
Become proficient in practice management skills used in formulary management, drug policy development, and evaluating medication use processes.
Become competent educators, who can deliver clinical and didactic education to other healthcare professionals on topics related to the care of critically
Demonstrate an understanding of the principles of clinical research
