Provide overall supervision to the pharmacy technician staff. Promote the department and coordinate activities to increase business and improve efficiency and effectiveness at the site. Complete work as a technician and provide customer service, assist in preparing and dispensing medications and supplies, unpack/verify stock-to-invoices and help maintain the pharmacy area in proper order.
Provide supervision of staff including hiring, orienting, coaching, evaluating and effectively managing performance to ensure staff possess the needed skills to deliver high quality service to customers
Provide ongoing, continuous management oversight, as a coach who supports the growth and development of employees.
Oversee operations to ensure appropriate distribution of workload and streamlined workflow.
Recruit/interview/hire staff. Coordinate orientation of new staff, and ensure ongoing education of current staff.
Maintain and monitor the productivity level of the staff to maximize efficiency, assure adequate staffing levels, and control costs.
Provide daily direction to pharmacy staff as applicable.
Complete timely performance reviews of staff according to policy.
Implement Employee Engagement Impact Plan with direct reports to drive employee satisfaction.
Promote the pharmacy and work to develop ongoing improvements at the work location to provide effective and efficient service to customers
Ensure appropriate patient care is provided to all customers
Represent department by participating in FPS committees.
Provide suggestions, solutions, and on going evaluation including analyzing new opportunities.
Provide customer service focused team approach to internal and external customers. Develop and monitor customer service expectations.
Suggest and act on process improvement ideas.
Ensure ongoing patient safety expectations are met.
Ensure all customers, payor, and staff concerns or complaints are handled promptly and properly.

Coordinate and problem solve issues
Manage projects and assignments independently to deliver successful results.
Manage schedules for all designated staff. Manage the attendance and/or E-Time System for all technical staff and approval of timesheets. Accurately track STO. Coordinate vacation requests and ensure proper coverage is maintained for all positions.
Complete work schedules and coordinate coverage for vacations/sick time /LOAs
Work with payroll and site staff to ensure accurate reflection of time worked for staff.
Manage expense reports as appropriate.
Complete the work of a pharmacy technician as required.
High School Diploma/GED
Fairview Certified Technician or certification achieved within 1 year in this role.
Registered with MN Board of Pharmacy (or pending registration)
Two years previous pharmacy technician experience.
