We are looking for a Occurrence Reporting Specialist to work at our Corporate office in Brentwood, TN! If you possess a “whatever it takes attitude” keep reading.
It’s hard to pinpoint a “typical” day here (and who wants typical anyway?), but as the Occurrence Reporting Specialist, you would Support company-wide Quality, Patient Safety, and Incident Reporting programs and initiatives including data collection, reporting, and tracking trends. The Occurrence Report Specialist will report directly to the Manager/Director of Clinical Quality/Patient Safety and will provide quality support and analytics assisting with maintaining continuous quality and patient safety improvement and event reporting programs that adhere to regulatory, compliance, accreditation, and legal concerns while providing a safe and effective program that helps our members get, stay and be well.
What You’ll Do for Us:
Support enterprise wide event reporting activities to assure continued quality and process improvements to include education, collection, investigation, analysis, and reporting of incidents.
Assist in communicating aggregated patient safety activities and events and collaborate with colleagues to improve processes utilizing the tools built for improvement.
Support management of key platforms for presentation and housing of quality management material: Excel, Power point, Word, Occurrence Reporting database.
Support Premise Health clinical priorities and goals for clinical quality improvement activities.
Identify opportunities for improvement based on evidence-based practices, and incident trends and activities.
Collaborate on activities that focus on clinical quality, improved patient safety, team member training, education, and clinical effectiveness.
Provide assistance in educating team members on highly reliable methods for identifying and monitoring potential high-risk problem-prone areas and setting up quality activities for study utilizing evidenced based, industry standards as benchmarks.
Assist in management of the Enterprise Quality Program for collection, analysis and reporting of quality activities promoting interdisciplinary collaboration that foster teamwork and team engagement.
Bachelor’s Degree in Healthcare or related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
3-5 years’ experience in Healthcare setting
Experience in data and trend analysis and report preparation
Work in the onsite care model preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
Must demonstrate strong organizational, prioritizing, analytical and communication skills.
Ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant and lead a project to completion.
Knowledge regarding variance reporting, identifying trends and presenting data.
Design Proficiency in Microsoft, Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
Ability to work well under pressure and flexibility is a must.
Exhibit positive interpersonal and communication skills and promotes effective interdepartmental relationships.
Manages time effectively to accomplish job responsibilities and take projects to completion.
Positive attitude, customer-service skills with a focus on availability and support to the customer.
