It’s hard to pinpoint a “typical” day here (and who wants typical anyway?), but as the Healthcare Economics Analyst, you’ll be an integral part of a new and innovative team charged with developing and executing a variety of new strategies related to Connected Care+, Premise Health’s approach to population health and value-based care.
What You’ll Do for Us:
You will build the economic foundation of this effort, which will be scaled across the enterprise. In this highly visible and entrepreneurial position, you will work cross-functionally throughout Premise Health to get things done. Other functions you’ll interact with include finance, sales, strategy, operations, clinical, and more. You will also work directly with strategic vendor partners and help manage those relationships.
You will have repeated exposure to senior leadership and tremendous growth potential. Primary responsibilities include: 1) financial modeling, 2) scenario analysis, 3) risk-based pricing, 4) client/executive presentations, 5) tool & platform evaluation, etc. You will generate analyses and presentations to support conversations with internal and external stakeholder as well as perform original research, propose new approaches to problems, and contribute to an innovative team.
The role is a perfect fit for someone who a) excels at translating data into compelling stories meant to spur action, b) has experience working with complex financial models, c) is not afraid to learn new tools and approaches, d) can build relationships across a large organization, and e) is excited about being part of a close-knit team redefining the way primary care is delivered. The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing structure to ambiguity and have a passion for healthcare, data analytics, financial modeling, product development, and business strategy.
Assist with design, implementation, execution, and scaling of platforms & value-based care analytical tools
Develop, model, analyze, and track impact of value-based care/risk-based payment structures for Premise Health
Lead financial, pricing, and sales modeling for Connected Care+ product suite
Assist with development of Connected Care+ sales presentations and data analyses
Track and analyze pipeline of prospective Connected Care+ clients
Track, measure and communicate program- and client-level financial performance associated with Connected Care+
Bachelor's Degree (required), preferably in a quantitative field such as finance, economics, statistics, mathematics, engineering, computer science
Graduate Degree preferred (MBA or MS in quantitative field)
3-6 years of experience in analytical role at healthcare-focused consulting firm, investment bank, venture capital or private equity firm, or healthcare services company
Experience developing and presenting analysis and recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders, including c-suite
Knowledge of value-based care concepts and experience with structuring and/or measuring risk-based contracts (such as capitation, shared savings, bundled payments) preferred
Entrepreneurial spirit with ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Intellectual curiosity with passion for healthcare and helping people live healthier lives
Excellent problem-solving skills and demonstrated analytical abilities
Strong financial modeling skills with advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency
The ability to work both independently and within teams
Superior verbal and written communication skills, with excellent presentation skills, confident in all settings with individuals at all levels of the organization
Comfort with learning new skills and analytical tool
