We are seeking a Data Scientist in the Atlanta, GA (North Druid Hills) office.
The Data Scientist will support our customers and partner with our Sales and Account Management teams by providing insights gained from analyzing company data. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for product and process optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have strong experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms, and creating/running simulations.
The Data Scientist will need to understand how to create and present effective visualizations to internal and external customers. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. It will be critical for this individual to be highly analytical but also be able to communicate the results and methodology effectively to all levels of an organization.
Work with stakeholders throughout the organization to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions and customer value.
Mine and analyze data from company databases to drive optimization and improvement of product development, marketing techniques, and business strategies.
Communicate our product's value and the business insights you gain through analysis to our customers and internal stakeholders.
Assess the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques.
Develop custom data models and algorithms to apply to data sets.
Use predictive modeling to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue
Degree or equivalent experience. Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience or combination of advanced degree and work experience.
Demonstrated experience advanced analytical techniques to solve business problems
Ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences, from executives who need the big picture to peers that want to learn from your work
Self-Starter that takes ownership and can prioritize workload
Ability to troubleshoot problems and work with required groups
Experience in creating Analytics based visualization
Ability to convey requirements to a technical and non-technical audience
Visualization creation experience
Additional Knowledge & Skills Preferred
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written, including interviewing internal and external parties
Ability to interview SME's and gather information to develop a solution
Strong problem-solving and presentation skills
Prepare and manipulate data for use in the development of statistical models
Insurance, Pharmaceutical, Biopharma or Medical experience
Handles routine requests/projects and assists with more complex statistical/business/research issues and studies
Excellent project and time management skills to successfully navigate and complete multiple projects with multiple deadlines and stakeholders
Innovative with the ability to conceptualize and develop ideas and vision
Independent and a self-starter
Great intuition, curiosity, and skepticism when analyzing data
Use of automation, predictive, version control and integration software suites to improve workflow efficiency
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related field required
