The Senior Practice Manager is responsible for understanding customer (practice) strategy and needs, specific product/project goals, and competitive positioning while implementing the best in class preferred solutions and services for our practices. Additional responsibilities include project oversight, team management and quality of practice focused delivery; as well as, generating timelines and roadmaps, and ensuring all solutions and technology implementations meet the needs of The US Oncology Network practices. The incumbent will rely on their extensive experience and judgment to plan and ensure delivery of programs and solutions, while leading and supporting cross functional subject matter experts. Additionally, this role will be responsible for translating business strategies into implementing product offerings, roadmaps, and ultimately a comprehensive product offering for The US Oncology Network while delivering against company strategic financial goals. This position will be responsible to conduct practice success reviews with all practices and serve as primary contact for practice roadmap management and maintenance. This role can be remote/virtual in any state in the contiguous US except Colorado.
Develops, manages and maintains practice specific roadmaps in close collaboration with the practices.
Conducts regular practice success reviews with all practices including IT reviews. Helps development and management of practice roadmap dashboards and reports.
Educates practices on Network roadmaps, portfolio and new solutions during the practice success reviews and on a continuous basis.
Effectively communicates with customer stakeholders and management at the practices on all aspects of implementation projects and product enhancement/support initiatives. Develops and maintains customers (practices) relationships through individual contacts and group meetings. Impeccable customer services skills.
Knowledge of best practices in customer service and retention.
Proficient with applicable products, services, programs and solutions offered by the Network to all the practices.
Strong written and verbal communication skills. Manages internal/external communications and provide regular project updates to Sr. Leadership.
Responsible for identifying subject matter expert for program ownership, technology implementations and interdependencies. Proactively identify and alert management and/or customers on potential risk to the timeline and/or project deliverables. Manage expectations of the key stakeholders involved.
Coordinate timeline and resource requirements within each functional area that relates to practice specific roadmaps. Oversees project coordination effort to support the internal and external resource utilization.
Prioritizes project portfolio and manages priorities for the practices per their roadmaps by working in conjunction with solution leads and their direct reports.
Coordinates IT and other business groups related to business activities for the successful launch of new technology solutions.
Gather customer feedback to continually enhance product by working with vendors and other internal Network resources including IT.
Reviews results/approvals from various quality assurance phases to ensure high quality of deliverables. Continuously improves implementation methodology and develops/follows escalation and notification procedures.
Prepares recommendations and/or alternatives that address existing and potential areas of improvements in IT/Operations for gaining efficiency.
9+ years relevant work experience with 1+ years in a supervisory position
5 years in healthcare related field with preference for oncology or specialty care settings
5 years project management and change management experience in matrix environment
5 years in direct customer facing experience as account manager or customer manager
Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Understanding and knowledge of dashboard creation software (ie. Smartsheet) preferred
Additional Skills & Knowledge
Six Sigma Black Belt training, preferably in a health care setting
Formal software methodology experience (an iterative, agile and/or waterfall approach) including tools, techniques and successful on time and on budget track record
Previous experience in vendor and contractor management
Able to identify process improvement ideas for gaining operational efficiency
Able to manage high performance cross-functional teams from an organizational, interpersonal and technical perspective
Must possess the ability to work independently, organize work effectively and take initiative in fast-paced work environment while managing multiple tasks and deliverables simultaneously
Possess strong business and technical writing abilities
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Healthcare Administration required
This position will require approximately 50% travel by car/airplane
