Senior Network Administrator

NATURE AND SCOPE: Under minimal supervision from the Network Operations Manager and working with the Senior Systems Administrator, the Senior Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing the organizations Network Infrastructure utilizing industry best-practices. Responsibilities include administration, testing, and problem resolution of the company’s Local Area Network (LAN) and Wide Area Network (WAN). Knowledge of public and private cloud connectivity, local area networks (LAN’s), wide area networks (WAN’s), demilitarized zones (DMZ’s), wireless local area networks (WLAN’s), virtual private networks (VPN’s), Voice over IP (VoIP), and network monitoring systems. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE DESIRED:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Requires frequent use of hands, handling of network related tools, objects, and controls. Occasionally required to reach/stretch with hands and arms, frequent standing, walking, climbing stairs and occasionally ladders, sitting, stooping, kneeling, crouching and/or crawling either under desks or behind server racks as required. Maintenance duties may potentially require extended periods of walking or standing and associated activity. Occasionally may require ability to lift network equipment that could weigh upwards 50 lbs. After hours support and weekend support as needed is a requirement of the position.
