PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Resident

The ChristianaCare PGY-2 Ambulatory Care Program provides the resident with advanced training in ambulatory care providing a variety of opportunities with unique experiences. The program incorporates a multidisciplinary patient-centered experience giving the resident the necessary skills to become an independent, confident and an innovative ambulatory clinical pharmacist.

Required block rotations include primary care in adult medicine, HIV community program, kidney transplant and anticoagulation clinic.  Required longitudinal rotations include population health, rural healthcare, home-based primary care, practice management, ambulatory pharmacy staffing and research. Elective block rotations are selected from a variety of services including HIV internal medicine, antimicrobial stewardship, pain and palliative care and outpatient oncology.  Core experiences are also available as electives.
