Randall's / Texas A&M College of Pharmacy PGY1 Community-based Residency (Albertsons Companies)

This Randalls/ Texas A&M Program is based in Houston, TX, one of the largest metropolitan areas in the US with amenities such as outdoor recreation, parks, restaurants, museums, and music. The city has a population from various ethnic and religious backgrounds and a large and growing international community. Houston is the most diverse metropolitan area in Texas and has been described as the most racially and ethnically diverse major metropolis in the U.S.

The resident is assigned a home-base community pharmacy site where approximately 40% of their time is spent. The residency site is located in the Houston metro area. The site has a dedicated team of experienced preceptors to mentor the resident through the year. Through our partnership with Texas A&M University, our advanced community-based patient care learning experiences are supplemented with ambulatory care-based patient care sites affiliated with the college in the Houston Metro area. In addition, the resident participates in a teaching certificate program, and performs research at the college. Our program's learning experiences have been specifically designed not only to ensure you have the skillset necessary for success immediately upon graduation, but also in the near-future when pharmacy practice has further advanced. These learning experiences allow room for adjustment based on your strengths, interests, development opportunities, and goals.
