The UR Pharmacy Department is committed to improving the well-being of patients by delivering innovative, compassionate, patient- and family-centered comprehensive medication management, enriched by education, science, and technology. The PGY2 Infectious Diseases Residency is a 12-month, ASHP-accredited, intensive learning program focused on training residents to become independent clinicians and leaders in infectious diseases and antimicrobial stewardship. The program allows for flexibility so that elective rotations can be tailored based on the resident’s clinical interests and career goals. Rotations include: Infectious Diseases (ID) Consults, Antimicrobial Stewardship (various locations), Clinical Microbiology Lab, Transplant ID, Outpatient ID, Hepatitis C, Pediatric ID Consult, and Emergency Medicine Antimicrobial Stewardship.
