Atlantic Health System PGY 1 Residency

Atlantic Health System’s PGY-1 pharmacy residency is a 12-month, hospital-based program with four positions available each year. It provides training in a flexible, diversified setting with rotations at both Morristown Medical Center and Overlook Medical Center. The program was established in 2009 and is accredited by the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists.

Our pharmacy residency provides an environment of learning with the specific goal of producing competent and compassionate pharmaceutical care practitioners. Residents will complete this objective through multi-disciplinary teamwork in a variety of different settings, as well as through independent study and project management. The program emphasizes development of clinical, communication and leadership skills necessary to provide high quality care and optimal patient outcomes.

The following items must be submitted by January 8th, 2021, via PhORCAS:

• Curriculum vitae
• A letter of intent/personal statement
• One-page document describing your role and responsibilities on clinical rotation(s), including number of patients followed on a daily basis and examples of autonomy and significant interventions
• Three letters of reference
• Official transcripts
