The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center PGY1 pharmacy residency prepares its graduates to practice as an independent patient care clinician, pursue a second year post-graduate training in a specialized area of practice and to serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students. MD Anderson is a premier comprehensive cancer center located in the largest medical center in the world. The Division of Pharmacy at MD Anderson strives to be the pharmacy leader in providing patient-centered care, based on excellence and innovation in automated services, patient care, research, and education. The residency program can provide unique experiences that offer comprehensive pharmacotherapeutic patient management to a variety of settings but not limited to the following: Ambulatory Care, Critical Care, Drug Information, Emergency Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Internal Medicine, Investigational Drug Services, Nutrition Support, Oncology and Practice Management.

Applicants must possess a Pharm.D. degree and Texas Pharmacist licensure is required within 90 days of starting the program. |
