PGY2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Residency
VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System PGY2 Psychiatric Pharmacy Residency
The VA Eastern Colorado Health Care System (ECHCS), headquartered in Denver, Colorado, serves veterans in eastern Colorado and parts of Kansas. The VA ECHCS provides care for over 79,000 patients. We are affiliated with the University of Colorado and Regis University. A wide range of psychiatric services are provided, including inpatient care, outpatient care, a substance abuse clinic, a residential PTSD program, and a domiciliary for homeless veterans. Pharmacists completing this residency will be competent, confident, and compassionate providers of psychiatric pharmaceutical care. They will be prepared to accept positions as clinical pharmacists for inpatient or outpatient mental health, adjunct clinical faculty at a college of pharmacy, or as consultants. VA ECHCS includes a level 1a facility that opened August 2018. The new Rocky Mountain Regional (RMR) VA Medical Center provides full-range of state-of-the-art patient care services. There are also many community based outpatient clinics (CBOCs) through the state that we serve.
