The PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy residency program at the University of North Texas (UNT) System College of Pharmacy (also known as the HSC College of Pharmacy) and HSC Health further develops the knowledge, skills, and abilities needed for successful clinical practice in the ambulatory care setting. The wide variety of rotation experiences will allow residents opportunities for clinical service development and independent practice. Resident training is fully integrated at the primary practice site, HSC Health, where the clinical pharmacy team provides quality patient care through a robust collaborative drug therapy management protocol.
An emphasis will be placed on teaching and academia within the resident’s training at UNTSCP. UNTSCP is Texas’ first college of pharmacy located on an academic health science center campus which includes Schools of Osteopathic Medicine, Public Health, Physician Assistant Studies, Physical Therapy, and Biomedical Sciences. The UNT Health Science Center at Fort Worth provides unique opportunities for interprofessional education and research collaboration. The residents will be integrated into the academic activities at UNTSCP throughout the duration of the program. Additional learning experiences are available with affiliated organizations in the Dallas/Fort Worth metropolitan area. Graduates of this program will be prepared for careers in ambulatory care, academia, or other subspecialty positions
Graduate from an ACPE accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program
Graduate from an ASHP accredited PGY1 pharmacy residency program
Be eligible for pharmacist licensure in the state of Texas
Complete an application via the PhORCAS portal by January 8th 2021

Additional Salary Information: The resident receives benefits as an employee of the state of Texas, including health benefits, sick leave, vacation leave, and retirement benefits.
