Baystate Medical Center PGY1 Community Pharmacy Residency
Baystate Medical Center, in affiliation with MCPHS-University (Worcester campus), offers the PGY1 Community-Based Pharmacy Residency Program with a purpose to build on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and outcomes to develop community-based pharmacist practitioners with diverse patient care, leadership, and education skills who are eligible to pursue advanced training opportunities including postgraduate year two (PGY2) residencies and professional certifications. Focused training includes inpatient acute care medicine (Internal Medicine and Acute Heart Failure), Ambulatory Care Pharmacotherapy Clinics, Specialty Pharmacy, Academia, Transitions of Care, and Outpatient Pharmacy Services.Within several miles of Baystate Medical Center, the resident will have learning experiences in ambulatory care and geriatrics at Baystate owned Community Health Centers and at our Specialty Pharmacy.
