PGY2 residencies provide residents with opportunities to function independently as practitioners by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge and incorporation both into the provision of patient care or other advanced practice

Engage in mentored quality improvement project as part of practice management experiences.
To Apply to the PGY-2 residency, applicants must:
Have successfully completed or on track to complete a PGY1 or PGY1 community-based residency program by June 30th of the application year
Be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Ohio
Be able to legally work in the U.S. prior to submitting his/her application to the program
Also, 3 letters of reference. One letter must be from your ambulatory or direct patient care experiences preceptors who can attest to your practice skills and abilities.
Select candidates will be invited for an on-site interview. The PGY-2 Residency in Ambulatory Care at the UC James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy in Cincinnati, OH participates in the ASHP Resident Matching Program and agrees that no person at this site will solicit, accept, or use any ranking-related information

About University of CIncinnati College of Pharmacy
The James L. Winkle College of Pharmacy is one of the oldest Colleges of Pharmacy in the United States. We are located on the University of Cincinnati Academic Health Center Campus with the Colleges of Medicine, Nursing, and Allied Health Sciences. We have partnered with our community to offer a unique PGY2 Ambulatory Care Residency program with a focus on primary care. The practice located in an underserved area of our community and helps fulfil the mission of our College: To develop progressive pharmacy practitioners and researchers to lead the evolution of healthcare. Residents spend 4.5 days a week at the community partner site and half-day a week at the College
